Lenox Financial is a direct lender operating in close to 50 states and growing. We are looking to hire a Compliance Manager that is a career-minded professional looking for a company they can plant roots with and thrive. A successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing adherence to all compliance guidelines, credit quality and overall quality control program (Pre-funding and Post-Funding) under the instruction of the SVP of Compliance & General Counsel. Performs analysis and prepares summaries on pending and newly effective federal, state and local statutes and rules/regulations affecting the mortgage lending industry. Implement related information, within authority level, to ensure business practices comply with federal law and company policies and procedures. Provide support to all areas of the company with compliance research, documentation and training. Deals with federal and state compliance matters of high complexity.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

  • Perform company-wide research regarding federal, state, and local statutes and regulations, lending procedures and servicing procedures as assigned
  • Prepare clearly written non-technical analysis of various laws and regulations including general synopsis
  • Review updates to regulatory resource material and interpret and facilitates implementation of new regulations and regulatory changes to company procedures
  • Support production, operations, servicing and corporate associates regarding compliance issues
  • Create and/or modify, and coordinate system development of loan documents and forms as determined by regulatory and legislative changes
  • Consult with Loan Operating System (LOS) providers and IT to ensure regulatory and legislative changes are up-to-date
  • Consult with regulators, regarding federal and state laws and practices within authority level
  • Analyze and interpret statutes, rules, administrative codes and attorney opinions and provide summaries to business units, management and servicing department
  • Develop training plans and provide staff training
  • Analyze, research and prepare written responses to compliance findings in state regulatory examinations
  • Update Compliance department development files, matrices, lending procedures, loan documents and forms, and online matrices based on regulatory and legislative changes and procedures
  • Track and monitor pending legislation
  • Track future effective dates for enacted laws and regulations
  • Conduct Risk Assessments in the areas of Fair Lending, BSA/AML, etc.
  • Perform other duties/projects as assigned by the SVP of Compliance & General Counsel

Required Education or Experience

  • Mortgage industry experience
  • Experience working with TRID, AllRegs, and Lending QB
  • Strong knowledge of HMDA
  • Good working knowledge in Microsoft Office
  • Knowledge of Reverse Mortgages
